6 min readThis guide is for teams that already have access to Meta Business and want to connect WhatsApp to Knot Folio in a clear, practical way.
What you need before you connect
- WABA ID: your Meta WhatsApp Business Account ID.
- Phone Number ID: the WhatsApp number identifier from Meta.
- Access Token: a valid token for the Cloud API connection.
- Access to the WhatsApp number you want to connect.
- Permission to open the Integrations page in Knot Folio.
Open the integrations page
Go to the Integrations page in Knot Folio first.
Find the WhatsApp integration card. This is where the Cloud API setup path begins.
Open Integrations, choose the WhatsApp card, and continue with the Cloud API setup path.
Enter the WhatsApp Cloud API details
- 1Choose the WhatsApp Cloud API setup option.
- 2Paste the WABA ID into the matching field.
- 3Paste the Phone Number ID into the next field.
- 4Add the Access Token and make sure it is current.
- 5Save the setup and wait for the connection check to finish.
Check the connection
- Send one test message to confirm the number is connected.
- Confirm that incoming messages reach the workspace.
- If templates are used, make sure they are approved before launch.
- If the token expires, update it before the next test.
